German Sudetenland Commemoration Medal Oktober 1938. For the peaceful takeover of the area along the Czech border known as the Sudetenland. The area was filled with a high population of German speakers, which Hitler wanted to "unite" into the Third Reich. Following the Munich agreement for "Peace in our time", this was allowed. In January 1939 Hitler decided to take the rest of Böhemia and Moravia and a bar was issued featuring Prague Castle to commemorate this second part of the occupation. This medal is for the initial Sudetenland annexation. Comes in the correct dark red box with medal suspended on a black and red ribbon with white borders. There is also a pin on the reverse for wear on uniform.
